HACK wins three ADDYs from AAF Dallas

The biggest night of the year in Dallas advertising was February 26 at Gilley’s. Over 150 agencies Dallas agencies submitted their work for the Dallas chapter of the American Advertising Awards, presented by AAF Dallas. The theme was “All’s Fair in Love and Advertising,” and The Agency Hack took home three awards in its first year of eligibility.

Just 121 awards were given from the approximately 600 pieces submitted for this year’s show. HACK received the “Dallas Foodie” award for best food and restaurant advertising, the “Extreme Makeover” award for best rebrand and an Honorable Mention for copywriting of a brand manifesto. All work was for the “Fluent in Fiesta” rebranding for Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar in Chicago.

“This is the first major awards competition for HACK, and we could not be prouder,” said Mike Stopper – Partner, Strategist and Copywriter at HACK. “The work from our small shop really stood out to judges from around the country. We entered just four items, so winning on three is pretty solid.”

AAF Dallas was founded in 1908 and is the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation—the “unifying voice” of the 40,000 professionals in our nation’s advertising industry. The Dallas ADDYs are the first step in a three-tiered competition that culminates into the national American Advertising Awards this summer. It is our industry’s largest creative competition with over 35,000 professional and student entries each year.
