Colin Simmons, edge rusher for The University of Texas, became a client of HACK as a true freshman in 2024 when the Dallas agency helped form his non-profit, Clay’s Color Crew. Now a junior, the pre-season All-American enters the 2026 football season on the watchlist for at least six national honors.
Simmons was named the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year for his on-the-field and off-the-field contributions. Heading into this season, the pre-season All-SEC First-Teamer is on the watchlist for the Allstate | American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team, Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, Lott Impact Trophy, Maxwell Football Club's Chuck Bednarik Award and Football Writers Association of America's Bronko Nagurski Trophy. Many of the awards honor the nation’s top defensive player. He is also on the cover of EA Sports College Football 27 video game.
Clay’s Color Crew™ is a Dallas-based nonprofit founded by Simmons in honor of his younger brother Clayton with the goal of bringing autism resources and facilities to underserved and lower-economic areas in South Dallas.
“America is definitely seeing what Colin Simmons can do on the field,” said Mike Stopper, Partner, Strategist and Copywriter at HACK. “But as Texas Exes, we’re proud to see the impact he is making off the field as well with Clay’s Color Crew.”
